Tinting My Brows

Posted on: Saturday, September 3, 2016

Hi Guys!

As you may know, I am all about a good brow. Structured, groomed and defined eyebrows have the potential to take your face from “I am not about this life” to “take my picture” haha. There are so many days when I don’t feel like doing my face but once my brows are done I feel as though I can take on the world.

I wasn’t blessed with the most perfect ones, but I’ve learnt to make do and fill in slightly with gel or pencil products for a more distinct look. So after doing some research online I took the leap of faith and purchased Godefroys Tint Kit from Amazon. You guys should know by now I am all about the more natural look so if there was a product that could eliminate one step from my make up routine, I was all for it.

brows before You see what I mean? They’re just… okay lol. I wish I could throw some fertilizer in there.

I’ve actually had the tint kit sitting in my drawer for over a month but I wanted to wait until my schedule was a little clear from shoots and shows just in case they came out wonky.

As this was my first time tinting my eyebrows I was pleasantly surprised by how fast and easy it was to do. The whole process took about 7 minutes ( from mixing, waiting for the tint to dry to wiping off). Im not going to lie, right before I applied I got kind of nervous anticipating what the outcome would be. I was seriously rethinking washing out that little bowl and turning off my camera lol – Glad I didn’t.

The outcome was subtle darker and my fave, NATURAL looking darker brows.

Here are some tips:
Be sure to do a patch test on an inconspicuous location like your forearm to see if you’ll have an allergic reaction ( I left mine on for 24 hrs!) It would be horrible if you just went and applied it to your face and were stuck with a rash or something for a couple of days.
Trying to open the capsule is a little mission in itself… so try just squeezing the middle part when the two pieces connect together and it should break pretty easily.

As mentioned this is my first time tinting my brows so I’m not sure how long the color pay-off will last. The box and some reviews stated a month but I’ll let you know my results.

Have you ever tinted your brows before? Let me know in the comments below.

Love Always
